Tournament Set to Restart on May 17, Concluding on June 3

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to resume on May 17, 2025, after a brief suspension due to national security concerns. The tournament will conclude with the final match on June 3, 2025, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Revised Schedule and Venues
Ipl remaining 17 matches, including 13 league matches and 4 playoff fixtures, will be held across six venues:

- Bengaluru
- Jaipur
- Delhi
- Lucknow
- Mumbai
- Ahmedabad
Two double-header Sundays are scheduled:
- May 18:
- Afternoon: Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs. Punjab Kings (PBKS)
- Evening: Delhi Capitals (DC) vs. Gujarat Titans (GT)
- May 25:
- Afternoon: Gujarat Titans (GT) vs. Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
- Evening: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
Impact on International Players
The revised schedule overlaps with the England vs. West Indies ODI series, set to begin on May 29. This overlap may affect the availability of West Indies players, including Romario Shepherd (RCB), Shamar Joseph (LSG), and Sherfane Rutherford (GT), who are part of the West Indies ODI squad.
Additionally, English players such as Jos Buttler (GT), Phil Salt (RCB), Jacob Bethell (RCB), Liam Livingstone (RCB), Will Jacks (MI), and Reece Topley (MI) could also be affected, depending on which teams qualify for the playoffs.
Abandoned Match and Rescheduled Fixture
The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, originally scheduled for May 8, was abandoned due to security concerns. This match has been rescheduled to May 24 in Jaipur. Punjab Kings will also play their remaining two games in Jaipur, as Mohali is not included among the venues for the resumption of the tournament.
Final Match and Playoff Details
The IPL 2025 Final is scheduled for June 3. The venues for the playoff matches will be confirmed later.
