Andrea Iannone Declared Unfit After Brutal FP1 Highside at Most

WorldSBK rider Andrea Iannone, competing for Team Pata GoEleven, has been officially ruled out of the remainder of the 2025 Motul Czech Round at Autodrom Most. The decision came after a highside crash in Free Practice 1 (FP1) left him with fractures in his right foot.
Crash Details – Turn 21 Incident in FP1
Highside Crash Ends Iannone’s Weekend
The crash occurred at Turn 21, one of the most demanding sections of the circuit. Iannone lost control while exiting the corner and was thrown violently off the bike. He was quickly assisted by medical personnel and taken to the circuit’s medical center.
Fractured Toes Confirmed
Medical evaluation confirmed fractures to the third and fourth toes of his right foot. As a result, the FIM WorldSBK medical team declared him unfit to continue for the rest of the race weekend.
Andrea 2025 WorldSBK Season So Far
Strong Start in Australia
Iannone had shown promising form earlier this season, grabbing two podium finishes during the season opener in Australia — his return to racing after a four-year doping suspension.
Inconsistent Results Since
Following the Australian round, Iannone has struggled to replicate his early-season performance. His best recent result was a fourth-place finish at Cremona, but consistency has eluded him.
What’s Next for Iannone and Team GoEleven?
Iannone’s injury puts additional pressure on Team Pata GoEleven, who will now be without their lead rider for the Czech round. Recovery timelines have not yet been announced, but the team and fans are hopeful for a swift return ahead of the next WorldSBK round.
